The Sakura Committee dresses in white suits with long coats. They’re the only students who can challenge a teacher’s decision, and they can do so only en masse.

Naturally, the story requires that they challenge authority on someone’s behalf, but then we’re into spoiler territory.

I don’t remember whether the manga times the first appearance of the committee to coincide with a particular season. In the tv version there’s definitely no indication, though.
